Activities, Events and Staff Movements

Brisbane

Both Brisbane offices raised a total of $560 during their annual Footy Colours Day Fundraiser for the Fight Cancer Foundation. All funds raised go towards helping kids with cancer; such as providing care, treatment and support for patients and their families and towards research into cancer treatment and cures.
Well done team!

Christchurch

Our Nexia office in Christchurch proudly sponsor the Canterbury Branch of the Institute of Directors of New Zealand (IoD). Earlier this month they hosted 60 guests at Nexia House for an IoD event “Governance in a time of crisis – war stories from the boardroom”.
Their in-depth panel discussion with Keiran Horne, Mike Killick and Bruce Cotterill provided some insightful discussion on the role governance plays in managing a business through a tumultuous time. It was a timely topic, and well received by our guests.

Canberra

Our Canberra office has fully reopened to the public. The Canberra office is pleased to welcome clients back to their Moore Street office in a COVID-safe manner. Staff have traded in their dining tables and makeshift home workspaces for their desks and offices.
What was missed while working from home? Being able to talk about sports with your colleagues and the office coffee machine.

Sydney

Our Nexia Sydney office is pleased to have welcomed clients and visitors back to the office on 26th October 2020. They have been working hard to transition out of lock-down and working-from-home following New South Wales’ relaxation of travel and distancing rules.

Throughout the opening of the office, our Sydney office are working in the best interests of staff, clients and the wider community to create safe working practices during the heath pandemic.

They have worked hard in consultation with third-party specialists to manage the impact of COVID-19 and are now officially registered as a COVID-safe workplace. Some guiding principles have been adopted for safety throughout the office, which include the following:

  • Physical access to the premises will be by appointment only and conditional on satisfying current health criteria
  • All staff are exercising social distancing. This includes having staff members rostered on to work in the office on different days to ensure compliance with physical distancing requirements
  • Temperature checks and a visitor log for all upon entering the office
  • Increased cleaning of all office spaces

Sydney values the relationships they have with their clients and will continue to ensure they are providing them with the best possible services and appreciate their client’s flexibility in working with them virtually over the past seven months.
