Victoria is Reopening

Victoria is reopening and it's important that we all contribute to open up with drive and confidence. This will continue to be a challenge as there is still confusion around vaccination requirements and other COVID related matters and we hope to see further clarity as time goes on.

There is no doubt that the last 20 months have been tough for all of us, but we at Nexia Melbourne continue to be here to support our clients, our team members and families, and suppliers as much as we can as we open up and expand.

We, along with many others, have been operating virtually and we aim to return formally to our CBD office from Monday November 29, 2021 on a roster basis after the indoor mask wearing rule is removed. Returning to the CBD in some form is vital for meetings, collaboration and for the support our CBD retailers and hospitality businesses that have been hit severely by the lockdowns.

As Victorians we can begin to celebrate as we start to come together again as a state and as businesses reopen. We now need to be patient and respectful as we get back into the groove. The good news is that we are on track to be one of the most vaccinated cities in the world, which provides an opportunity for us to invigorate and get Victoria humming again.

To this end, our policy is that our team members, clients, suppliers, visitors must be fully vaccinated to attend our office.

Proof of vaccination status will be requested by reception upon entry. In addition, before attending client premises, we will require written confirmation of the business’s COVID Safe Plan and confirmation that all personnel being met with are fully vaccinated. Note that virtual meetings can continue if these requirements are not met. We have already demonstrated the capability of this! Our policies for face-to-face meetings are to ensure everyone’s ongoing health and safety and we thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding in advance.

We at Nexia Melbourne wish everyone the greatest success as we all pull together to reopen the state of Victoria.

We would like to thank Geoff for his years of service as Divisional Head, he has been instrumental in shaping the Audit Team and establishing Nexia's reputation in the audit industry.

Lonsdale Financial Award

Our Head of Wealth Management, Paul Clements has been awarded Lonsdale Financial Advisor of the Year for 2021. We congratulate Paul on this achievement.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Nexia Melbourne supports a wide range of charities mainly through financial support via Donations – however in October one of these charities required team members to hop on a bicycle and pedal to raise funds for Kids Cancer. A small group of riders got on the saddle and we raised over $6,700 for this great cause.

We look forward to a revived business environment and assisting you however we can and also seeing you very soon face to face whether that is at your premises, a local café or supporting the CBD which needs our support to get kickstarted.
