About Mal

Mal is the Managing Director and has been a director of Nexia Perth office since 1994. He is also the Chairman of Nexia Australia and is responsible for continuing to develop and drive the strategic direction of the network.

A hands on and think outside the box operator, Nexia Perth’s Managing Director leads a bright, capable and effervescent team trained to value add. Mal works to enable freedom of choice opportunities and through the organisation’s Cash Growth Value program, helps demystify financial statements and explain how numbers combine to form a narrative. Never mired in the past, Mal revels in change and with his trademark unique perspective, is forward-looking, proactive and driven to deliver positive outcomes.

Experience

In his capacity as a business and financial advisor, Mal predominantly works with privately-owned businesses specialising in business performance improvement, business and strategic planning, consolidation, acquisition strategies, merger/demerger strategies, venture capital, trade sales and acquisitions and financial analysis. Mal sits on a number of client and advisory boards, leads Nexia Perth’s Investor Ready program and is an authorised representative of AFS licensee Nexia Perth Corporate Finance Pty Ltd.

A champion for small-medium enterprise, Mal understands the trials and tribulations of business ownership as he’s lived the experience. He is acutely aware of the pressures business owners face and works tirelessly to provide clients with the right tools and insights to advance and realise their hopes and dreams.
