Professional experience
Amber joined Nexia in January 2026 as the firm’s first externally appointed Chief Executive Officer.
She brings more than 25 years’ experience in senior leadership and professional services, having built an international career in Sydney and London with global law firm DLA Piper. Amber began her career as a corporate and M&A lawyer before progressing into executive leadership roles, including International General Counsel and Managing Partner, Australia.
As International General Counsel, Amber was responsible for legal and operational risk across DLA Piper’s UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions, and served as legal adviser to the firm’s International Board and Risk Committee. In her role as Managing Partner in Australia, she led the strategic direction and performance of the firm across four offices and approximately 600 people. During her six year tenure, the firm delivered sustained revenue growth, improved profitability and strengthened its position as a truly global professional services firm in the Australian market.
Amber brings deep expertise in strategy, governance, risk management and organisational leadership. She is known for her people-centred approach and her commitment to building high-performing, inclusive teams. An energetic and approachable leader, Amber connects easily with partners, staff and clients, and is passionate about empowering others to succeed.
