Nexia Sydney has announced the appointment of Amber Matthews as CEO, effective 21 January 2026, to lead Nexia Sydney in its next phase of growth.
Matthews was formerly Managing Partner, Australia, DLA Piper, a role she held for six years. During this time, she led the strategic direction of the global law firm’s business in Australia, charting the firm’s expansion, market differentiation and dynamic culture.
Prior to this, Matthews spent eight years as General Counsel and Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance for DLA Piper internationally, advising the international Executive and Board while leading a team of lawyers and risk professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
Managing Partner Andrew Hoffmann will continue to contribute to the firm’s ongoing success, resuming his role as Audit Partner in the new year.
