Roger joined the Nexia Canberra Tax Consulting division following a 20-year career as a systems accountant\business analyst\legal officer in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has a strong interest in tax and superannuation law and applying that law for the firm’s clients.
Roger holds qualifications in law, commerce, professional writing, project management and business administration. He is a member of both Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and CPA Australia, and is admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of the ACT.
With a blend of accounting and legal expertise Roger develops creative and simple solutions to complex questions of tax and superannuation law, providing clients with peace of mind through clear, certain and personalised advice.
Roger is involved in advising clients on tax effective strategies, tax structures, the application of the capital gains, fringe benefits and income tax laws, the GST, stamp duties and land tax laws to property transactions. Roger has also advised numerous not-for-profit organisations on their eligibility for income tax exemption as charities, public benevolent institutions, sporting clubs and organisations that encourage development of Australia’s industrial and agricultural resources.
