The Nexia Games

On the 10th of April, Nexia New Zealand hosted ‘The Nexia Games’ which was a firm wide event that took place in conjunction with the Commonwealth Games. Four teams competed; Team Rotoiti, Team Wakatipu, Team Pukaki and Team Tekapo, each team choosing a commonwealth country that they wanted to represent and wearing a costume to represent it.

The Nexia Games included four separate events. The first event was ‘Indoor Office Games’ comprising of; mini indoor tennis, indoor bowls, hoola hoop and mental challenges – just to name a few.  The second event was an early morning bootcamp challenge with an afternoon of athletics on the following day. On the final day, the teams were put through their paces with a multitude of team challenges hosted by Sports Canterbury, which was then followed by a fun filled synchronised office chair swivelling event. This was wrapped up with a closing ceremony and the winning team was announced. The Nexia Games were a huge success and an abundance of fun for all involved.
