Nexia Australia, Sydney Office are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Nexia Sydney Group Non-Executive Independent Chairman, Mr Stephen Purcell. This appointment comes after the recent change of corporate structure to Nexia Sydney Group.
Stephen joins us with a wealth of experience and knowledge, with 20 years’ experience in leading professional services firms, including three successful CEO and Managing Partners roles in law and accounting firms. Stephen has a reputation as an inspiring leader with strong values, for being a “people person” and for getting things done.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics and was admitted and practised as a solicitor for many years before taking on professional services firm leadership roles. Stephen is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, non-executive director of the parent company for the business known as The Executive Connection and is a member of the NSW Regional Council for Redkite, the children’s cancer charity.
The Board of Directors sincerely thank Ian Stone for holding the position of chairman for the last six years and thank him for his considerable contributions over this time. As per previous correspondence Ian was appointed Chairman of Nexia International on 2 November 2019 and we wish him every continued success in this exceptional role.
